What are Outreach Sequences?

An Outreach Sequence is a series of personalized automated messages that target a desired candidate. The messages are set to match your voice and be sent at specific intervals.

An Outreach Sequence is comprised of stages. A stage is a message set to be sent at a specific time. An Outreach sequence must have at least one stage.

Each Outreach Sequence is associated with a specific Project.

Outreach Sequences integrates with Gmail exclusively.

Please set up your email integration by following this guide before setting up a sequence.

How to use Outreach Sequences?

  1. From the Projects Overview, select the related ‘Project’ ( job role) you want to set up.
  2. Navigate to ‘Outreach Sequences’ from the left-hand menu.

  1. To Start a new sequence, press ‘Create new sequence.’

  1. The sequence editor launches a new page and offers the choice to ‘Start from Scratch’ or ‘Start with AI help.’
    • Choose 'Start with AI help' for faster Outreach Sequence setup. Our AI provides a written framework, suggesting content and messaging flow. Customize messages and cadence to match your recruiting style without compromising quality.

  1. After selecting ‘Start with AI help,’ a page will open to ‘Create your Pitch.’
    • Using AI, we'll help you craft your pitch to candidates. To provide content to build the pitch, copy and paste your job description or add information about your company and the job. You don't need to worry about formatting; our system will handle that.
  1. Press ‘Next’ in the bottom right corner when happy with the inputted information.

  1. Afterwards, a page will launch showing you the extracted pitch points, including:
  • Company details
    • What does your company do?
    • Momentum
  • Job details
    • Team
    • Why join
    • You will do
    • Compensation
    • Location
    • Tech Stack

The pitch points will be used to generate your outreach sequences to candidates. Review them to ensure they are accurate and engaging. This will save you time and increase your response rate. You can make adjustments to each pitch point to refine your outreach.


  1. When satisfied with the content for the pitch points, press ‘Next’ from the bottom right corner.

  1. The pitch points have built your Outreach Sequence💥. In our editor, you can add/remove outreaches and adjust the format and timing for each message.

  1. When you are happy with your adjustments, press ‘Done’ in the bottom right corner to finalize your changes.

How do I send an outreach sequence?

  1. First, you can follow this guide on how to search for candidates.
  2. Once you have found a candidate you'd like to contact, please open their profile by clicking on their candidate card.
  3. From the top toolbar of the candidate card, press ‘Add to Prospects.’

  1. Go to your Prospects page from the right-hand toolbar.
  2. Click on the candidate you want to message.

  1. On the right-hand side, press ‘New outreach sequence’

  1. On the right side, use the editor to adjust the stages.
  2. Press ‘Send Outreach’ from the top right corner to launch the sequencing when ready.

What if I want to pause an outreach?

Once you have launched, you will receive an update that a message was sent via Gmail.

Underneath this confirmation in the top right corner, you can use the ‘Play’ and ‘Pause’ buttons to pause and restart the sequence.

To return to this page anytime, click on the candidate from the related project's prospect list.
