Ask Wellfound is an AI assistant built into Wellfound Reach that helps recruiters and hiring managers get more done within their projects. What can I use Ask Wellfound for?

Ask Wellfound supports five core actions out of the box:

  • Create a new search agent — Describe the type of candidate you're looking for and Ask Wellfound will help you set up a new sourcing agent for your project.
  • Review my agent — Get a summary of recent results and matches from your active agents.
  • Create a new sequence — Draft a multi-step outreach sequence tailored to the role you're hiring for.
  • Explore the candidate market — Analyze and shortlist applicants based on your criteria.
  • Research a company — Get context on a specific company before reaching out to candidates who work there.

You're not limited to these options — you can type any recruiting-related question or request directly into the chat bar.

Tips for getting the most out of Ask Wellfound

  • Be specific. The more context you give — role title, required skills, seniority level — the more useful the output will be.
  • Use it to jumpstart sequences. If outreach messaging feels like a bottleneck, Ask Wellfound can quickly generate a draft sequence for you to refine.
  • Switch projects to stay in context. Ask Wellfound is tied to whichever project you're currently in, so make sure you're in the right project before starting a task.
